Last Saturday, I made my way to the fantastic Bloom in the Park festival that takes place over the June bank holiday weekend in Dublin, Ireland, each year. What you can do there is see beautiful showgardens, buy plants and flowers to also make your own garden very pretty, and enjoy some fabulous Irish food.
It was a beautiful day, not too hot and not too cold either, and just perfect with an overcast sky (my kind of dream sky as a photographer). There was a lot (A LOT!) of walking, gazing at flowers and plants I had never heard of before, enjoying a lunch in the company of Rebekah from Honeysuckle Life, buying some lovely artisan food products and finally ending back home really tired but so happy after a great day!
Even though I usually spend a lot of time photographing food for work and for my other blog Crème de Citron, this time I focused on flower and lifestyle photography. I would have loved to photograph more food but the stalls were jam packed and I feared for my fingers every time I try to approach some food items.
The gorgeous showgardens made me dream of having a lovely garden myself. I am now left contemplating my no-balcony apartment windows so in the meantime I will make my computer screen my own private little garden.
