Waking up at the crack of dawn when you are staying in the Kata Tjuta National Park (NT, Australia) is absolutely worth it.
I spent three days there a bit more than three years ago. Getting up at 5am to observe this kind of scenery was the most fantastic thing. For the few minutes that the sun is appearing, the colours in the sky and on Uluru change constantly and it is quite magical. I also really love that the Olgas appear in the distance to remind us that there is also a phenomenal rock formation .
It is probably one of the best mornings of my life. And walking around the base of the rock afterwards for 3 and a half hours was also an incredible memory.

This image is also for sale in my little print shop.
