I took this photo in December 2010 on my first visit in Sydney, Australia. It shows details of the architecture of the Sydney Opera House inside this magnificent building.
The Sydney Opera House looks spectacular from outside but despite the (not cheap) price of the ticket to do a guided visit inside, it is well worth the expense. You get the chance to be walked through the different rooms and theatres while a guide gives a very detailed history of the build of the Opera House and its architecture designed by Jorn Utzon. The choice of materials and details is quite impressive.
So when we walked through a corridor and I saw those amazing details above, I was drawn to immediately press the shutter of my camera. I just loved the structure and the way the light passed through the body of the building.
There are many more details inside but some of them I just photographed with my eyes as I just wanted the memory of it for myself. So next time you find yourself in Sydney, why not go and see all that for yourself. It really is a once in a lifetime experience.
As usual, I used my beloved Canon SLR 40D.
